Today was an exciting day for me as I had the opportunity to do a photoshoot with the talented model, Kaylie, at the stunning My Pole Garden in Monroe, WA. With its vibrant colors and unique plant life, this location was the perfect backdrop for our creative endeavors.
As we set up, I was particularly thrilled about using a custom decorated frame that I had prepared as a photography prop. The frame added a whimsical touch to our shots and perfectly complemented Kaylie's lively personality. The lighting was absolutely perfect—soft and diffused, it bathed the garden in a warm glow that made every image pop with life.
Throughout the shoot, we experimented with various angles and poses, capturing the essence of the garden while showcasing Kaylie's charisma. One of the highlights was when we ventured into a slightly foggy area of the garden. The atmosphere was ethereal, creating a dreamy ambiance for our shots. Although we didn't use the frame in these particular photos, the hazy effect added a layer of magic that I can’t wait to edit.
Looking ahead, I’m already buzzing with excitement for our group shoot scheduled for July 26th. We’ll be bringing back the custom frame, along with a mirror I’m having decorated as well. I envision a series of creative shots that incorporate both props, allowing each participant to express their individuality while playing with reflections and perspectives.
Additionally, this shoot will serve as a fantastic opportunity to practice our editing skills. We plan to focus on the art of removing unwanted background items to create a clean and polished final product. It’s a skill that can elevate our photography, and what better way to learn than by working together in a collaborative environment?
As we wrapped up today’s shoot, I felt a rush of creativity and inspiration. Kaylie’s energy, combined with the beauty of My Pole Garden and our unique props, created a magical atmosphere that I am excited to build upon in the coming weeks.
